Kaya Munakata

Kaya Munakata lectures at the Department of English at Kanda University of International Studies, Japan. She completed her MA in TESOL at Columbia University and her undergraduate studies in Comparative Culture at Sophia University, Tokyo. Her research focuses on learning English through realia especially artworks and hands-on activities and connecting visual images and language learning.

Hiroshi Hasegawa

Dr Hiroshi Hasegawa, Ph.D. is the Japanese Course Coordinator and a senior lecturer in the School of Education at Curtin University in Western Australia. He currently coordinates and teaches various undergraduate units pertaining to Japanese and contemporary Japanese culture. His main research interests include second/foreign language education, ethics in education and the enhancement of education through ICT-led educational reform.

Kevin Mark

Kevin Mark is a professor at the Meiji University, Japan. An American by nationality, Kevin Mark spent most of his life in the UK and Japan. He read Modern Languages and specialised in French literature and language at the University of Oxford followed by graduate studies in Manchester University. England. He held various posts in educational institutions before becoming a full professor at Meiji University in Japan.

JeongMi Um

Dr. Jeongmi Um is a faculty member and sociolinguist in the Faculty of Economics of KwanseiGakuin University, Hyogo, Japan. Her research interests cover the fields of sociolinguistics and comparative linguistics. She has authored various research publications and was invited as a visiting researching fellow at SOAS of London University, England in 2007 and Kyujangkak Research Center of Seoul National university in 2013.
