In the paper, the highlighted features and effectiveness of the extensive reading model have been authenticated through a case study conducted at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2. The experimental method was employed to collect the information from the learners after the treatment of extensive reading had been applied. The findings show that extensive reading has blown a new wind to English learning movement at HPU2 and brought a better achievement in the students’ English comprehension test score.
