Mary Hatakka

Dr. Mary Hatakka has over 25 years of experience in teaching in Finland, Italy, Egypt and in the United Arab Emirates. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor of English at the English-medium Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates Dr Hatakka’s research interests include academic literacy skills, student motivation and retention and engineering habits of mind.

Madhavi Gokhale

Dr. Madhavi Gokhale is a professor at the School of Business Management, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai. Dr. Gokhale has held various academic positions before being promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at the Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1997. Her research interests revolve around the field of literature with multiple papers published.

Mah Boon Yih

Dr Mah Boon Yih is a senior lecturer at Academy of Language Studies, UiTM (Penang). A multiple award-winning academic, Dr Mah is the founder of Web-based Cognitive Writing Instruction or WeCWI, an award-winning hybrid e-framework for instructional design and language development. At present, WeCWI is committed towards commercialisation through consultancy, IP licensing, and joint ventures.

Kaya Munakata

Kaya Munakata lectures at the Department of English at Kanda University of International Studies, Japan. She completed her MA in TESOL at Columbia University and her undergraduate studies in Comparative Culture at Sophia University, Tokyo. Her research focuses on learning English through realia especially artworks and hands-on activities and connecting visual images and language learning.

Joel V. Araya

Dr. Joel Vallejo Araya is an Assistant Professor at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City, Philippines. He teaches at the English Department at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Graduate Studies. He is a PRC licensed teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. He obtained his PhD in Educational Management at the Capitol University (Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines).

Jan Maclean

Dr. Jan MacLean is a Senior Lecturer in the fields of Art Education and Literacy with the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University in B.C. Canada. She has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and book chapters on the topics of “Inclusion through the Arts”. Dr. MacLean has presented her research on “educating through the arts” internationally throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

Helen Toraskar

Dr. Helen Toraskar completed her doctorate in Education at the University of Hong Kong in 2015, specialising in English Language and Literature. Helen is currently conducting research in EFL teaching/learning and EFL teacher professional development. Her broader research interests include both EFL Academic writing and Speaking in Higher Education.

Danica Čerče

Danica Čerče is an Associate Professor of Literatures in English, teaching English at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Her research interests include the 20th century American literature, contemporary Black and Native American playwriting, Indigenous Australian literature, and translation studies.She serves on the Editorial Board of Coolabah and Steinbeck Review, and is a Vice President of the International Society of Steinbeck Scholars.
