Entering Malaysia
Foreign nationals may enter the country through various land checkpoints, airports, and seaports all over the country. The most direct way to get to Malaysia is to fly commercial into Kuala Lumpur International Airport (IATA code: KUL) . KLIA is a well-connected airport servicing many major carriers from all over the world.
Although many nationalities are allowed to enter Malaysia for tourism purposes without a visa, some visitors might still be required to apply for a visa upon arrival or from their home country. Please check your entry requirements with the Malaysian embassy/consulate in your home country or visit the Malaysian Immigration Department website.
